The Mutua Madrid Open runs for a fortnight at the Caja Mágica in Manzanares Park. Sessions finish late, the venue sits well south of the centre, and getting back is the part that spoils the evening.
The problem with the Caja Mágica
It is a long way from the hotels most visitors stay in, and a night session can finish close to midnight. Several thousand people leave at once, from a site with one main road out.
How we handle it
